Two Dale County Students Receive State-Wide College Scholarships

DALE COUNTY -- Two Dale County Seniors received the School Superintendents of Alabama student scholarships.

Seniors Tiera Agee, of Dale County High School, and Callie Gulledge, of G.W. Long High School, each received the $500.00 scholarship.

The money is awarded to an Alabama senior planning to pursue a degree in education at an in-state public college or university.

The girls said they are grateful to win the award.

"I feel very blessed," Gulledge said. "I've worked really hard my whole life for this, especially in high school, so I was very thankful when I got the letter."

"I worked really hard this year, and through all my school years, so I could get this scholarship and it makes me really proud that I was able to get it," Agee said.

The scholarships are awarded to nine seniors from across Alabama.
