Seniors Warned about Medicare Scam


These days it seems like there is a scam for everything.

The National Council on Aging says health care, Medicare and health insurance fraud make the list of top 10 scams.

Since most people over 65 qualify for Medicare, scammers rarely need to know what health insurance provider seniors have.

There are some tips that can prevent you from becoming a victim. Medicare won’t ever ask for your personal information over the phone, especially, your social security number. It is also important to protect your Medicare number like you would protect your credit card information.
