Reaction to U.S. - China Manufacturing Symposium

There are some speculations that history will repeat itself and Chinese investment will take jobs back to China, but they are both looking at long-term gains.

There are two major manufacturing companies still in Dothan scoping out locations for businesses. Eventually, the businesses will start learning how to find the right employees, but this endeavor goes beyond business. SoZo Group CEO Raymond Cheng says relationships are growing and the southern mayors are making a revolutionary impact.

“Just imagine a world where there is less misunderstanding, less bias, less assumption and people actually get along and people actually say ‘great, I can build things here’,” said Cheng.

The symposium has caught national attention. Former US Undersecretary of International Trade and Commerce Francisco Sanchez says he will be back in Dothan to watch this story unfold.
