Pike County Copper Thieves Arrested

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department held a press conference this afternoon after two farmers became victims of copper theft.

The Sheriff’s Department arrested Michael Eugene Allen, 44, and Jonathan Noah Green, 29. Both men were charged with theft of property.
Investigators say thousands of dollars worth of copper was stolen from Michael Sanders and Tom Finlay’s farms.

The sheriff says the thieves used the money they made from selling the copper to buy drugs.

Troy, Pike, Coffee and Crenshaw County offices helped in the arrest. Alfa Insurance is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone that has information about the third suspect.
