This Saturday roads in downtown Opp will be closed to cars. It’s the 14th annual Opp Fest celebration.
City officials expect about 100 street vendors and several thousand people to be there. It's a chance for businesses to roll out the red carpet There will be a classic car show along with "live" music. Leaders say it is a chance for the city of opportunity to shine.
"Our merchants come out and put their tables out. We are very excited to see people from all over the southeast,” said Tommie Norris with the Downtown Redevelopment Authority.
On Halloween night, the Opp Downtown Redevelopment Authority plans a large trick-or-treat extravaganza at the historic train depot.
