Sex Offender "No Candy Laws" Not Present in Alabama

Halloween is all about the tricks and treats, but it is not uncommon for it to cause some anxiety for parents.

Many states, including Georgia and Florida have laws were sex offenders are prohibited from giving out candy, called “No Candy Laws”.

Alabama does not have any of these laws.

The Dothan Police Department is teaming up with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, to be checking on these offenders. Authorities recommend that trick-or-treaters make a route before going out for candy.
A list of where sex offenders live can be found on doc.alabama.gov.
