New Class Added to Alabama High School Athletics

It is a historic day for Alabama High School Athletics.

For the first time ever, there will be a Class 7A.

The Enterprise Wildcats will compete in the newest classification.
Since 1984 the Athletic Association has operated under a six-classification system, 1 through 6A.

Carroll High School, Charles Henderson and the Geneva County Bulldogs all changed classes.

The Houston Academy Raiders are appealing the decision that moved them from class 2A to 3A.

Head Football Coach Jimmy Addison says the state submitted the wrong student population to the State Board of Education.
