National Peanut Festival Hosts Japanese Contest Winners

The National Peanut Festival goes way beyond the tri-states.

People from Japan visited the fairgrounds thanks to a contest.
A peanut plant called “nutcracker” exports honey roasted peanuts to a company in Japan.

Whoever sells the most peanuts get to come to the National Peanut Festival. The five people who won the contest said this was their first trip to the U.S.

This is the Nutcracker’s fifth year bringing Japanese employees to the festival. They have been doing business overseas for almost 20-years.
