A Dothan man is behind bars after he allegedly stole items from a church.
According to a press release from the Dothan Police Department, Kevin Torres, 22, off Dykes Street was found in possession of items that were believed to have been taken from a church.
Authorities were alerted to Torres when responding to suspicious person’s complaint on the 2200 block of Third Avenue.
Torres’s arrest and recovery of the stolen property was the direct result of a concerned citizen who recognized a suspicious person in their neighborhood and contacted their local law enforcement agency. These actions are to be commended and continued.
Torres faces a charge of third degree burglary. His bond has been set at $250,000.
