Whether you are ready for it or not, the holiday shopping season is right around the corner.
The National Retail Federation, NRF, says the average holiday shopper is expected to keep it modest this year.
According to NRF’s holiday consumer spending survey, the average shopper will spend around $700 on gifts, décor, greeting cards and more; that is two percent less than last year.
The NRF is forecasting holiday sales will increase 3.9 percent to over $600 billion.
A funfact for the first time NRF asked if the political gridlock in Washington would affect their spending plans on average 29-percent said it would.
