The Geneva Council learned this week that it will soon receive nearly a half-million community development block to fix chronic drainage issues.

Near record rainfall earlier this year caused massive street flooding in low-lying areas of Geneva.

City Officials have long blamed century-old sewage lines for part of the problem.

The work could begin as early as next year, it first has to be bid out.
