OZARK -- Former resident Leslie Blackmon might not live in Ozark anymore but she will always call the town home. After finishing up a successful career in law and raising three children, she began painting and doing other forms of artwork.
Beginning Saturday she will showcase her work in an exhibit she calls "Yonder." Using her imagination and photographs, she painted an array of pictures depicting different scenes she recalls from her childhood.
She said after finishing up her career she just had one question to ask herself.
"What do you want to do that's purely because you love it? And that's what this is," Blackmon said.
The exhibit opens with a reception on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Her artwork will be on display at the Rudd Art Center in Ozark until February 8.
