Watching your back while surfing the web seems like common sense, but in Coffee County, Sheriff’s are urging residents to be extra careful this holiday season.
According to the sheriff’s department, burglars are actually scoping out Facebook for easy targets. Sheriff Sutton says not to post pictures of gifts, and not to blog about where you are. He says that is a way for criminals to keep track of your whereabouts and can allow them to strike when they know you are not home.
Another piece of advice from the Sheriff; don’t leave your purchases visible in your car. Instead, lock them in your trunk.
