The DDRA expects the clock tower in Downtown Dothan to be finished by Thanksgiving.

At the Wednesday meeting, DDRA members say the November deadline can be reached as long as Mother Nature cooperates.

The clock is described as having a milky colored face with black roman numerals. The DDRA says the clock is being specially wired so that it can chime in the future.

At this time, chimes are not being installed in the clock because they come with a $600 price tag. However, if money for chimes becomes available it can be installed easily into the tower.
