Thousands of people, nearly 50 vendors and dozens of speakers gathered on Thursday at the Dothan Civic Center for a diabetes workshop.
The Group learned several tools to help those living with diabetes and other complications with the disease.
The seminar also featured health education seminars on HIV/aids, cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Organizers say with the rising rate of diabetic patients in Alabama, a seminar like this is needed in the Wiregrass.
This is the 11th year for the diabetes work shop.
