DALEVILLE -- Fifth graders at Windham Elementary School taught their peers the importance of beginning with the end in mind during a school assembly on Thursday afternoon.
This is habit two of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People leadership program the school adopted three years ago. These habits include lessons on positive thinking, motivation and ability.
The students have worked for more than two months, three times a week, to learn their routine.
Fifth grader Jada Stone said teaching this habit is a lesson for all ages.
"We're going to do it in front of the whole school so they can understand that the habits aren't for just this point on, it could be throughout life," Stone said.
Each grade is responsible for teaching one of the habits to the entire school. Next month, fourth grade will teach a lesson in putting first things first.
