Several members of the community were honored on Wednesday for their participation in The Walk to Remember, a fundraiser for people who suffer from Alzheimer’s.
The Alzheimer’s resource center coordinates the walk every year. On Wednesday, they awarded volunteers, walkers and sponsors for their dedication to helping find a cure for the disease.
This year the walk raised over $114,000 for the center.
