Chia and Flax Seeds Pack Nutritional Punch


They are tiny, but pack a nutritional punch.

Chia and Flax seeds can be added to foods ranging from baked goods to salads, to even yogurt.

The tiny seeds seem to be everywhere – on the store shelves and in drinks. But Chia seeds are not so new, they actually achieved superstar status through Chia Pets.

Chia seeds, along with flax seed are a good source of vegetarian protein, but, you don’t have to be a vegetarian or vegan to enjoy them.

Flax seed may even reduce the risk of certain cancers, while Chia contains more fiber, protein and Omega-three fatty acids.
