A decision has been made on whether the Bingo machines at Center Stage Alabama are legal.
On Thursday, Judge Conaway issued a 12 page ruling saying the machines and the money seized from Center Stage are Illegal.
During a three-day trial, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office said the machines were masquerading as illegal slot machines.
Judge Conaway agrees and says in his ruling that only the paper version of the game commonly known as Bingo is legal in Houston County. The judge also said the money seized is connected with gambling activity and is illegal.
The nearly 700 machines and more than $288,000 are not property of the State of Alabama. The machines will be destroyed and the money will be places into the state’s general fund.
