Tyson Foods is recalling 34,000-pounds of chicken products over fears of salmonella contamination.
The US Department of agriculture says chicken from Tyson was linked to an outbreak of illness at a Tennessee prison. Seven inmates got sick and two were hospitalized.
Tyson says the recalled chicken was produced on Oct. 11 and sold only to institutional customers. It was not sold in grocery stores, but consumers were questions about the recall can visit Tyson’s website, www.tyson.com, for more information.
