A warrant from Houston County warrant for Willie C. Toney's arrest has been released.
Toney is charged with two counts of capital murder in connection with the death of his ex-wife Rebecca Jackson.
The first count of capital murder alleges Toney intentionally caused Jackson's death by manual strangulation, doing so while abducting her with the intent to hold her for ransom or reward.
The second count of capital murder alleges Toney strangled Jackson, causing her death while stealing her car, a Kia Soul. The theft and abduction account for the two counts of capital murder.
Police allege Toney abducted Jackson from her home on South Alice Street on Wednesday night, driving her to the Bellwood community in Geneva County. Jackson's body was discovered in a field in Bellwood around 9 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Toney is being held in the Houston County Jail without bond. If convicted, he faces either the death penalty or life in prison.
