Americans are voicing their frustration over the government shutdown in all kinds of ways -- protests, letters, and apparently, pumpkin carving.
One Texas father says he's already written his congressional representatives so decided to poke a little fun at the crisis.
You can see the carving is only half done and has a sign on top of it mocking those posted at national parks that were closed because of the shutdown.
It reads, "due to the government shutdown work on this pumpkin has been temporarily halted."
