Early county residents need volunteers, to help keep their families safe.
A few years ago, the ISO changed their classifications. The new standards changed how many road miles a home needs to be from a firehouse to be covered by insurance.
In response to the new regulations, the EMA built three new fire houses.
They are in Hilton, Liberty Hill and Nicholasville. Residents donated land and the county paid for the construction projects. Right now they are looking for 10 volunteers.
