Daleville Public Library Baby Classes

The Daleville Public Library welcomes babies and toddlers to learning sessions held there each Tuesday. The “Baby Learn and Play Program” is held for a half hour starting at 10 a.m.

Parents can bring their little ones to sing, hear stories and spend time playing with others their age. The program's instructor says this gets kids started early on learning their basic skills.

"The babies learn a lot. Before they are one year old or before their first birthday, they've learned every sound that they need for their native tongue, and so it's very good that they learn to read, or hear the reading, hear the songs, and the repetition because that's part of the building of their language," said instructor Nancy Moon.

Parents say they enjoy watching their children interact with other babies and notice their social skills improving with the help of the program.
