The Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals says a death row inmate from Dothan deserves a new trial.
23 year old Tawuan Townes was convicted and sentenced to die for killing a Dothan man during a burglary.
Christopher Woods was shot to death in his home in November of 2008.
The appeals court opinion says there were errors in the instructions administered to the jury in the case.
A new trial date has not been set.
