Troy Football Announces New Coaching Staff Titles

TROY, Alabama – Troy football head coach Neal Brown announced Monday new roles for several of his assistant coaches heading into the 2016 season.

Assistant head coach Jon Sumrall was tabbed Troy’s special teams coordinator in addition to his role as coaching the Trojan linebackers, while newly hired Jordan Lesley will coach Troy’s defensive tackles and Bam Hardmon will be Troy’s defensive line coach. Additionally, cornerback coach Al Pogue has been officially named Troy’s recruiting coordinator.

Troy is entering its second season under Brown and the Trojans will return seven starters on both sides of the ball in addition to welcoming one of the top recruiting classes in program history. Brown’s first full recruiting class was rated as the second best in the Sun Belt Conference by both 247Sports and Scout.

Troy’s six-game home schedule features non-conference games against Austin Peay (Sept. 3) and UMass (Nov. 5) and Sun Belt games against Arkansas State, Appalachian State, New Mexico State and Georgia State.
