TROY, Alabama – Troy Athletics will host the fourth annual Trojan Madness on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Trojan Arena with doors opening at 6 p.m., admission is free.
A pep rally featuring the Sound of the South, Troy University SGA, cheerleaders and T-Roy will kickoff the event at 6:30 p.m. in anticipation of the football game against South Alabama on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at The Vet. Head football coach Neal Brown, head men’s basketball coach Phil Cunningham and head women’s basketball coach Chanda Rigby will all speak during the event.
There will plenty of fun for fans as attendees will have the opportunity to take pictures with both the men’s and women’s Sun Belt Conference championship trophies as well as enjoy free food and prizes and participate in on-court contests and promotions. In addition, all fans who attend Trojan Madness will automatically be entered to win great prizes such as Troy basketball gear, t-shirts, free season tickets and coupons to local restaurants.
Both teams return to the court for an exhibition doubleheader at Trojan Arena on Nov. 1. The Troy women will take on AUM at 5:15 p.m., followed by the men hosting Georgia Southwestern State at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the doubleheader is free.
Troy women open the regular season at home against Stillman on Nov. 10, while the men’s team kicks off its campaign the same day against North Dakota as part of the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawai’i. The men’s home opener is set for Nov. 16 against Brewton-Parker.
