Neal Brown will coach Trojans next season despite interviewing for Arizona position

(WTVY) -- The motto since Neal Brown got on Troy's campus three years ago has been "Rebuild The Wall". After much speculation that Brown may leave Troy University for another head coaching job, a source has told Noah Mindel of WTVY News 4, that Neal Brown will stay at Troy and watch the literal wall be built in the North End Zone at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

He made the announcement to the team during a meeting Wednesday night after reportedly interviewing for the Head Coaching job at Arizona on Monday.

The 37-year-old Head Coach has been consistent throughout the season saying, "My wife and I are really happy here; this is a place I was always drawn to because you can get good players here,” Brown told Noah Mindel back in September.

Brown of course has turned the Troy program around recently, winning 21 games the past two seasons including a Sun Belt Conference Championship last month.

The Trojans (and Neal Brown) open the 2018 season at the newly-renovated Veterans Memorial Stadium Saturday, September 1 against Boise State.
