Former Dale County RB, Jamarius Henderson suspended from Troy Football program

(WTVY) -- Head Coach Neal Brown has suspended former Dale County running back Jamarius Henderson from the program.

"Jamarius is suspended from our football team right now,' says Coach Brown at Troy's Media Day. 'He did not break any rules, he did not withhold the standards and expectations of our football program. He will have an opportunity to make it back on the team, but he is suspended from the team."

Henderson joined the Troy Football Program back in August 2016 and sat out the 2016 season due to NCAA Transfer Policy after he transferred from the University of Memphis.

During his time at Memphis, Henderson had four rushing touchdowns on 60 carries and two receiving touchdowns on seven catches.

Before Memphis, Henderson played at Dale County High School for Head Coach Pate Harrison, leading the Warriors to a (25-2) record in his final two seasons and ran for an Alabama high school season record 3,483 yards as a senior while scoring 48 touchdowns. Henderson tallied 204 yards on 30 carries and one TD in the AHSAA Class 3A state championship game.
