SGT Mary Carolyn Andrews Sanders, 67, of Ozark, died Friday, January 5, 2018.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Thursday, January 11, 2017 in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Charles Goldsmith officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30 P.M. (Central Time) in Fort Mitchell National Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday morning from 9:00 A.M. until service time.

SGT Sanders was born July 21, 1950 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late COL Jesse Milton Andrews and Mary Helen Andrews. She served in the United States Army for thirteen years.

Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Ann Wright Thomas (John Thomas); three granddaughters, LaQuishia M. White, Elisa C. Thomas, and Jamie L. Collier; two great grandchildren, Alisha N. White and Tyler D. Foster; two brothers, Carl Andrews (Barbara) and Mark M. Andrews; one sister, E. Claire Andrews; two nieces, Cristi Parker (Alan), Karen Aman (Chad); two nephews, Mark R. Andrews and Jessie Andrews; and several great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the employees of Oakview Manor Nursing Home.
