Mr. Edgar Lomax Batchelor, 82, of Ozark, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in Dale Medical Center.

Mr. Batchelor was born October 16, 1935 in Enterprise, Alabama to the late Ray Batchelor and Hettie Mae Garries Batchelor. He lived most of his adult life in Dale County and was employed as an aircraft mechanic at Fort Rucker. Mr. Batchelor served in the Alabama National Guard in New Brockton until his retirement. He was a member of Carmichael Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Batchelor; and his brother, Charles Batchelor.

Survivors include three sons, James Lomax Batchelor, Wendell Batchelor, and Wade Batchelor; two sisters, Helen Roberts of Oklahoma and Bettie Jo Simpson of Georgia.
