Using cord blood stem cells to help cancer patients

July is cord blood awareness month. Stem cells are powerful, adaptable cells that can be used to promote healing and reverse damage. They’re used in the treatment of many types of diseases, including a wide range of cancers, genetic diseases and blood disorders. They're found in various places within the human body but the purest are in the umbilical cord.
