The Wiregrass United Way is encouraging individuals, businesses and organizations to donate towards their $2,000,840 goal.
Funds raised will be utilized by 44 health and human service organizations in six counties.
Giving Tuesday isn’t only about money, this day is about giving back any way you can, volunteers are needed at the Wiregrass United Way location to answer phones, reach out to previous donors and keep track of what's being donated.
"A lot of non-profits are participating in Giving Tuesday, if you want to support United Way or your favorite charity it’s the day to say “I’ve done for others, I’ve done for my family and today we're going to help others." Says Wiregrass United Way director, Walter Hill.
If the Wiregrass United Way reaches their national goal, the Wiregrass Foundation will contribute an additional $400,000.
