(NBC News Channel) - If you still haven't put that Halloween costume together yet, you just might find what you're looking for at your nearest thrift store.

Many consumers on the hunt for the perfect costume head to Goodwill, Savers/Value Village and other thrift stores to get creative, without the hefty price tag.

According to Savers/Value Village, females are more likely to plan their costumes one to three months in advance, while males are twice as likely to wait until last minute.
