Three men face charges after reportedly trying to steal school buses

MARIANNA, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Three people are facing charges after police say they tried to steal two school buses in Marianna.

According to police, Sunday night they responded to the Jackson County School Bus Compound on Penn Avenue about a suspicious person. Officers say when they arrived, they saw two suspects running away.

Police caught up to the two suspects after a short foot chase. Officers identify the men as Austin Boutwell, 18, and Brandon Donaldson, 21.

After investigating, police say a the men worked with a third person, Jamie Kinsey, 18, to enter the compound through a cut in the fence. Police say all three men admitted to entering the property to take two school buses.

Boutwell, Kinsey, and Donaldson were arrested and charged with attempted theft of a school bus, trespass on school property, and burglary of a structure.
