2016 Coffee County Farm City winners announced

New Brockton, AL (WTVY) The Coffee County Farm City winners were announced today.

Coffee County farmers have been honored for nearly 3 decades through the annual farm awards.

There are more than a dozen separate categories involving both industry, beef, forestry, and business of the year.

Winners are chosen by a number of different groups and the Farmers Federation.

The goal is to promote economic growth in the county.

"The point is to join our two communities, the agri-business community, and all of or businesses in Coffee Coutny and to just recognize how we work together and make Coffee County one of the top economies in the State," said Ashley Jeffers.

Each winner will be recognized at the Farm City week banquet.
The event will be held November 17 at the New Brockton Farm Center.
