WTVY - Today is Valentine's Day, and new surveys reveal what Americans are buying for their sweethearts, and what they wanted for themselves.

According to the PollFish survey, Americans want to buy dinner or drinks for their beloved the most.

That's followed by chocolate or candy, and then flowers, and of course greeting cards.

Another survey, from NationalToday.com, says that 14 percent of people are enjoying the single life on this Valentine's Day.

And 13 percent will buy candy or flowers for themselves.

Another 5 percent plan on going on a date with a match made on the popular app, Tinder.
