(NBC News Channel) - A new study finds regular walking, even for just two hours a week lowered the risk of early death, compared to inactivity.
Walking was especially effective in reducing deaths from respiratory and cardiovascular disease.
Experts say walking is the perfect exercise.
That's because it is simple, free, and can be done at any age.
Walking 2.5 to 5 hours a week was associated with a 20% reduced mortality risk.
