DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — Final preparations were made Tuesday for a long awaited pet adoption involving about 60-dogs.
Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish, District 5 Commissioner Beth Kenward---and others are ironing out last-minute details.
The dogs were confiscated earlier this year from a home in Dothan.
Police say they were part of an illegal puppy mill.

Paws For a Cause will be Thursday, September 28th, at the Dothan Civic Center.
Doors open at 5PM.
The silent auction will be from 6 - 7:30PM.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door, and children 10 and under get in for free.
Advance tickets purchase is recommended.
