Dothan, AL (WTVY)- The Dothan Personnel Board affirmed the termination of Dothan police officer for revealing sensitive information to a civilian. Jared Bladen had appealed his firing to the board that ruled Monday after hearing evidence in October.

Police Chief Steve Parrish testified Bladen revealed to a friend contents of radio traffic involving undercover drug officers.

Bladen argued that anyone with proper monitoring equipment could have heard the same radio traffic.

Previous WTVY reports indicate Bladen was a corporal and, among other positions, an investigator in the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Bladen can appeal the personnel board’s decision to Houston County Circuit Court.
