Ozark Police officer rescues cat stuck in tree

Ozark, AL (WTVY) People say an Ozark police officer is a hero after rescuing a cat from a 60 foot high tree last weekend.

Yes, a kitten was stuck in a tree that witnesses say was at least 60 feet high.

Tabitha Peters shared video of the rescue with WTVY.

She says the cat was meowing for help for two days. They asked anyone they could think to help: firefighters, tree services, electric companies and police officers.

Finally, Ozark Police Corporal Zenneth Glenn climbed the tree, put the kitten in his backpack and made his way down safely.

We're told the kitten has already found a new home.
