Landmark Park goes digital

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) Let your smartphone be your personal guide at Landmark Park. The park has a small staff limiting their tour guide capabilities, but they still want you to get the full experience. That's why they offer a digital tour through QR codes that link to videos set up at six buildings on the property.

Visitors can learn the historical significance of the Martin Drugstore, Shelley General Store, Brown's Crossroads School, Headland Presbyterian House, Waddell house, and the Watson Cabin. You can use any QR code reader you like but the park recommends the free i-nigma app.

“Scan the QR code with your phone,” said Laura Stakelum, the Public Relations Director for Landmark Park. “It'll take you to the video and the neat thing about the i-nigma reader is that it saved what you scan so you can go back to it another time if you want too."

For more information on the digital tour you can register for the park's free heritage forum “Landmark Park Goes Digital,” taking place this weekend. Refreshments will be provided and you can receive a CEU, (continuing education credit). To register call landmark park before July 9th at 334 - 794 3492.
