ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) -- Volunteers started preparing meals as early as 9:00AM Thursday. For those who couldn’t make it to the Mission Center, volunteers delivered the food to their house.
All the volunteers believe in helping one another:
Alex Dunham says "the community came back to help us made us feel like this is our hometown so we made it that way so whatever we can do we to give back to the town."
This can be a tough time of the year for people without family or loved ones near. That’s why Denver Thomas was there along with friends and his wife.
Six years ago, Elizabeth Riley took over and made it her mission to give people a place to eat and fellowship.
"Anyone that's out there and don't have nowhere to go and just want somewhere to feel loved and cared about and get the tradition Thanksgiving meal come on down."
While the meal is over the need goes on. The Christian Mission Center looks for donations year around. If you would like to donate please call 334-393-2607.
