Inmate escaped from St. Clair Recaptured

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – An inmate who escaped from the St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville on Monday, Dec. 4th was recaptured on Saturday.

Antwone Wilson, 27, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals and Brevard County deputies at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday. Wilson was found in a hotel in Titusville, Fla. where he surrendered without incident. Wilson was taken to the Brevard County jail to await extradition back to Alabama.

Wilson is serving a life-without-parole sentence for a first-degree robbery conviction in Jefferson County. A second inmate, Ronald Odell King, who escaped with Wilson, was captured on Tuesday, Dec. 5th in Jefferson County, Ala. King, is serving a 50-year sentence for first degree burglary.

Wilson and King will be charged with felony escape and other offenses.
