DOTHAN, Al. (WTVY) Two cul-de-sacs will be built on Moore Road in Dothan to reduce traffic.
Dothan city commissioners approved closing a part of the road until the work is done.
Commissioner Ferguson says when it floods, the rain water bothers people in the area.
He says that's why the cul-de-sacs will be separated by a storm drain.
This decision brought mixed reviews from people who live near that road.
Charles Davis says,
"Moore Road is the most convenient way for me to get to my house and I know there is some other way to do this."
Larry Austin says,
"If you just go down to Taylor Road, it isn’t far at all. It needs to be closed."
The work will take 2-3 months.
