Geneva (WTVY)-- It took a Geneva County jury less an hour Thursday to convict a Webb man of reckless murder in the death of a Slocomb woman.

Justin Walding, 30, was found guilty in the June 2016 vehicular death of Slocomb resident Cindy Knight, 44, whose car collided head-on with a pickup truck driven by Knight. The wreck occurred along Alabama Highway 52 near Malvern.

Circuit Judge William Filmore ordered Walding held in the Geneva County Jail until a yet unscheduled sentencing hearing. Until Thursday, he was free on bond.

A civil lawsuit brought by Knight’s estate is awaiting trial.
