Funeral set Monday for state trooper killed in motorcycle accident

Dothan, AL (WTVY)- Funeral services are set Monday for an Alabama State trooper killed in an off-duty motorcycle accident. Timothy Wayne Suggs, 49, of Headland died from injuries sustained when his bike ran off a highway in Columbia Friday night.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Headland. Visitation is scheduled Sunday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Dothan.

Suggs was employed by the Headland Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Dothan Police Department and, most recently, as a trooper.

Survivors include his sons, Dylan Suggs and Cody Suggs; daughter, Callie Suggs; mother, Nell Duke; brothers, Paul (Rebecca) Suggs, Donnie (Laura) Suggs, and Steve (Sandy) Suggs; sisters, Lynn (Dennis) Saunders and Tammy Felder; mother of his children, Cecelia Suggs; special friend, Katherine Lee; several nieces and nephews, per Sugg’s obituary.
