Dothan, AL (WTVY)- A Dothan man was charged with sex and other crimes after he allegedly attempted to force himself on a neighbor and, when rejected, fired a gun at the woman and her boyfriend.

Robert Duane Pearson, 43, of South St. Andrews was arrested Thursday morning and charged with one count of Sex Abuse and two counts of Attempted Assault.

“After his advances were rejected, Mr. Pearson produced a .22-caliber pistol and fired four shots in the direction of the woman and her boyfriend,” said Dothan Police Lt. Will Glover. Nobody was struck.

The confrontation allegedly occurred Valentine’s night.

Glover said the victim and Pearson both live in the same apartment building on South St. Andrews Street.
