DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Dothan city officials are looking to increase development along Highway 84 East, but before they begin, they want the community's help.
On Tuesday, city officials took one step closer into their developmental plans. A lot of discussion on what should go there and how it will improve the quality of life.
This is for all segments of the population in Dothan,” said long range planner Bob Wilkerson. “This is an important corridor, it affects the entire city. Whether you live on the west end or the east end, it affects everybody."
And that's why the city wants your opinion, they'll be holding a meeting January 16th open to the public.
For those who can't make it, the city is in the process of building a website for people to leave their comments.
Mayor Mark Saliba says they've had plenty of growth on the north-west corridor, but now the east side needs some TLC.
The meeting is January 16th at 6:00 PM at the Wiregrass Museum of Art.
