Barbour County Schools revises punishment policy

CLAYTON, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Barbour County School System temporarily suspended corporal punishment at the beginning of this last school year.

The move came after some parents raised concerns about the policy.

The county now believes there are other ways to discipline a child and will not bring back corporal punishment.

A revised manual on discipline is expected to be finished by June.
